NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are rallying worldwide Monday after President Donald Trump relaxed some of his tariffs, for now at least, and as stress from within the U.S. bond market seems to be relaxing. The S&P 500 was 1.3% higher in midday trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 399 points, or 1%, as of 11:10 a.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 1.4% higher.
