Ken Wood has been elected as Birmingham’s new lord mayor at a prestigious ceremony amid hopes for the city's future. Mayor Wood, who became a councillor for Sutton Walmley and Minworth in 2014, took up the politically neutral role at the meeting on Tuesday afternoon, May 21.
