Days after the United States (US) jacked up tariffs on multiple Chinese imports, including electric vehicle (EV) batteries, computer chips and medical products, Indian exporters said that the loss of a major market for China could trigger dumping of Chinese products into India. “China is sitting on overcapacity in many sectors and thus the threat of dumping, in any case, not ruled out and more so when an important market is closed for their exports.
