1 Air Force personnel killed, 4 injured as convoy attacked by terrorists in Poonch

An Air Force personnel was killed and four others injured in a terror attack in Jammu’s Poonch district on Saturday evening. According to military sources, two vehicles carrying the IAF personnel came under fire from terrorists around 6 pm when they were near Shahsitar. The area falls between Surankote’s Sanai Top and Mendhar’s Gursai region in the border district. The injured personnel were evacuated to Udhampur for treatment on IAF choppers, where one of them succumbed. An IAF detachment is collocated with the 37 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in the Mendhar region.
