Recently, news circulated that after the Galwan incident, which claimed the lives of 20 Indian soldiers and some 40 Chinese soldiers in June 2020, new clashes would have taken place between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). This probably explains why External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar often mentions that relations between the two Asian giants are ‘not normal’. Clashes would have taken place at least twice on the LAC during the past three years, and China would have attempted to violently attack some Indian Army checkpoints (probably not in Ladakh) between September 2021 and November 2022....
