China has put millions of citizens back under lockdown in the wake of a new wave of COVID-19, authorities reported on Tuesday, as the government sticks to its tough policies to contain the virus. The measures affected about half of the 6 million residents of the port city of Dalian, as well as undisclosed numbers in Chengde and Shijiazhuang in Hebei provinces, about three hours’ drive from the capital Beijing.
