China has reportedly censored a report criticizing the ruling Communist Party’s strict zero-covid policy and the continued use of strict lockdowns by Xi Jinping’s government. The report, published by the Beijing-based think tank Anbound Research Centre, warned authorities that the curbs – including closing cities and disrupting trade, travel and industry – must change to avoid an “economic stagnation”.
